During March 14-16, 2014, Hermes held the fifth edition of Saut Hermes, equestrian competition at the Grand Palais in Paris. This event is one of the only equestrian jumping competitions held in the city. Hermes organizes this competition as the horse harness and saddle are important to the brand's legacy.
A limited edition Carré, "Brides et Gris-Gris", designed by artist Virginie Jamin was sold exclusively during the Saut Hermes 2014. The scarf features images of riding crops, horseshoe, horses, saddles and buckles.
During the event, guests were able to watch the creation of a horse saddle and witness artisans carefully stitch the pieces. A shop was included that allowed patrons to buy a variety of items from clothing to accessories.
