To celebrate the iconic Monogram and the brand's 160th anniversary, Louis Vuitton will be enlisting six renowned fashion designers and artists to collaborate on designing a bag or luggage in the classic monogram print. The project is called "the Icon and Iconoclasts". Nicholas Ghesquière, Creative Director, and Delphine Arnault, Executive VP of Louis Vuitton, enlisted six artists to design new bags for the brand and includes: Christian Louboutin, Cindy Sherman, Frank Ghery, Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo. Karl has apparently made a punching bag, as reported by WWD, he's well known for creating luxury out of everyday items with Chanel.
The exclusive bags will be made available at select Louis Vuitton stores to be released in mid-October. The bags will retail between €2,000 and €4,000. The launch will happen on November 17, 2014 in New York City.
