For Fall 2013, the oversized classic mens overcoat is one of the must-have pieces in your wardrobe. The overcoat is a classic long coat that typically stops at or slightly past knee. This season the coats are either single or double breasted (ie. see Burberry Prorsum Cashmere coat) with lapels. They are characteristically less fitted in shape and appear in lighter and brighter shades from pinks to richer color palettes in purples and blues.
To offset the masculine silhouette of the heavier coat try to wear it with a pair of cropped trousers with a heel or a flared skirt with short booties revealing a longer leg. Since the coat will keep you warm, showing a bare leg whether its a pant or a skirt will give the look more of a feminine feel.
