Here's a new edition of Bag Versus featuring Celine's Tie Bag and Phantom Bag. These two totes both feature extended gussets, allowing the bag to be bigger and having more space. They both have two top handles, and almost the same shape. So when it comes to choosing either one, which bag comes out on top?
Phantom Bag
The Phantom Bag was first released in 2011, which is an updated version of the Mini Luggage Bag. It has an open top, with braided zip details on its front pocket. The bag's wings can be tuck or extended. The bag comes in variety of materials, and price depends on the leather used. Compared to the Tie bag it doesn't have a closure; however its shopping style makes it easy and relatively lightweight to carry. The bag itself is quite large spanning approximately 12" at the Medium size; however over time it does soften and become a less boxy bag to carry.

Tie Bag
The Tie Bag came out in 2013, as part of the brand's Winter 2013 Collection. The bag's name is taken from its design which features knotted or tied handles. It comes in three sizes, Mini, Small and Medium. It includes a small pouch in all sizes except the mini. The bag is quite heavy and the Mini is the most ideal size among the three. Compared to Phantom the Tie bag has the more updated Celine look and feel in terms of style as the Phantom has been around for many years.

Conclusion
For an everyday bag with the most current look the Tie Tote bag is the winner in the mini size. The fact that the phantom doesn't come in a smaller size than the medium (at the moment) makes it less of a versatile bag than the Celine Tie Tote. An added bonus is the front closure on the Tie that isn't available on the Phantom. For those that enjoy the Phantom look the Mini Luggages are also a great alternative as it has a zipper closure.
