Chanel recently held their Métiers d'Art Pre-Fall 2016 Collection at Cinecittà, a film studio in Rome. Karl Lagerfeld has transformed the studio into a black and white Paris street which features a movie house, metro station and boulangerie. Guests includes Rooney Mara, Anna Dello Russo, Princess Caroline of Monaco and Carla Fendi. Also present in the event was Kristen Stewart, who also stars in the short film "Once and Forever", directed by Karl Lagerfeld himself, which premiered in before the runway show started.
The collection features handbags in boxy shapes made in various materials like python, crocodile, sequins, tweed and leather. One of the most talked about bag in the collection, is the vintage camera shoulder bag inspired by the cinematic theme of the show. Chanel also introduces a new bucket bag which comes in patchwork and embellishments.
