Celine Pre-Fall 2014 Bag Collection

Presenting the bags from the Celine Fall 2014 collection , this collection is equivalent to a 'Pre-Fall 2014' for other brands. This collection is not to be confused with the upcoming Celine Fall / Winter 2014 show happening during Paris Fashion Week this week (runway show will be covered later). Consistent with other mid runway season shows by Celine, Phoebe Philo chose not to present their collection until closer to production date since this prevents copycats from taking their coveted designs.

The Celine enthusiast will be happy to know that the collection for Pre-fall 2014 is similar to the 'simplicity' that Phoebe presented before the last runway Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

Styles

New styles are introduced which included the following:

• the Belt tote bag ($2,600 USD), featuring a strap across the two handles that are knotted in place;
• the Coin flap bag which has a rounded medallion on the leather surface;
• the Boxy tote bag which is a classic square tote shape;
• the Mini Doc bag, a small messenger with a rounded shape;
• the Frame bag similar to the Doctor bag from past seasons; and
• a new single handle clasp tote made in multiple materials.

Leathers & Colors

The color themes produced for Fall 2014 are the dark sombre navy hues, the orange/brown dubbed 'Brick' hues and finally purple/red/pink color themes.  The calfskin leathers are made in very fine but in delicate materials such as 'Satin Calfksin', 'Smooth Calfskin', 'Natural Calfskin' and 'Liege Calfskin'.  The grades of leathers are likely heading the direction of Hermes, whereby each type of leather has a unique finish.
