This year, Fendi takes us to a time travel adventure as the set of their Fall 2019 Haute Couture Show was held in Temple of Venus and Roma on Palatine Hill overlooking the great Colosseum of Rome. Venturini Fendi takes inspiration from the late designer Karl Lagerfeld, and it shows in this collection. Fendi showed 54 looks for the 54 years Lagerfeld was at the helm as Creative Director.
Reversible coats, Deco patterns and evening gowns are as usual spectacular in sheer black ball gowns and chiffon embroidered Juliet dresses. Expect lots of hand held purses with lots of accessories, marble designs and fur many of which can definitely match with either your evening or day look.
Although the show is dedicated to Lagerfield, Venturini Fendi added some of her own designs. She incorporates some of the pieces inspired by the Roman marbles, patterns and geometry with the use of materials like organza and tulle and a bit of fur in some of the pieces.
