Russian model and actress Sasha Pivovarova stars in Dior's latest ad campaign for their Spring/Summer 2018 Collection. Sasha also opened the collection's runway show last September wearing a shirt with the print "Why Have There Been No Great Women Artists?" inspired by Linda Nochlin essay. The campaign was shot by Patrick Demarchelier in a photography studio. It features the model's drawings with portraits of women, which presents a reflection of her and her emotions. It is also has a resemblance to Niki de Saint Phalle, who has been a great influence to Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri for this collection. Another inspiration for the campaign is the 1960s, which can be seen in the season's ready-to-wear items. The brand's latest handbags including the Dior Oblique tote and dragon printed bags were also featured in the campaign.
